Railroad research centers on Greenfield artist Anna Feron Pierce Judah

7/11/2022

This past February, Christine Pifer-Foote reached out to Saints James and Andrew Archivist, Robert 'Bob' Brown. She was looking for information on a parishoner who had died in 1895, artist Anna Feron Pierce Judah.  Bob gathered all available information and then sent that information onto Christine. Our Archivist frequently gets this kind of request as folks look into their family history. Often church records are some of the most reliable.

On Sunday, July 10 Christine and her spouse Bill, both UCC minister, visited Saints James and Andrew for worship and Bob was able to give them a tour following the service. Her research was shared at a museum presentation in April.

The picture of Christine, holding an image of Anna, was taken by Paul Franz and featured in the Greenfield Recorder, in an article that ran in the July 11 edition: Railroad research centers on Greenfield artist Anna Feron Pierce Judah
