Funeral service 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 21 in the sanctuary. Reception to follow in the Whiteman room. 

Greenfield, MA - Gary Albert Brown, 71, of Greenfield, MA, passed away on April 5th, 2026. Gary was born in Greenfield, MA on September 6, 1954, son of Albert P. Brown and Jane (Schrang) Brown. Both parents have passed. Also, twin sons: Sean Albert and Ethan Gary passed in 1998.

Gary graduated and attended; The Roberts School in Shelburne, MA, Bement School in Deerfield, MA, Greenfield High School and Academy of Arts in NYC.

Gary had various employments in his life. He was Assistant manager to the Garden Theater, worked at Henri Bendel in NYC, Assistant manager of Human Resources at Lunt's Silversmith, Mayhew Steel Products and Ace Transportation.

Gary had various interests; he was an avid reader, avid Red Sox fan, and music was his passion. Elvis Presley and the Beatles were a major enjoyment in his life. And movies were his specialty. He especially enjoyed his visits to North Truro/Provincetown, MA where his family had summered since 1961. In his earlier years he was a communicant at Saints James and Andrew Episcopal Church.

Gary leaves the love of his life, son, Ian F. Brown of Amherst, MA, his beloved brother, Bob or Bobby Tito of Greenfield MA. Cousins: Suzanne and Mitch Hammer and their family, Linda Zamenski and her family and Kendra Bergeron and her family

Gary had a wonderful sense of humor, always had a twinkle in his eye. He was very polite, kind, likable and generous.

A Service will be held at The Episcopal Church of Saints James and Andrew, 8 Church Street, Greenfield, MA with the Rev. Heather Blais officiating on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM. A reception will follow the service.

There will be no calling hours.

Burial will be at Green River Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to Dakin Humane Society, 171 Union Street, Springfield, MA 01195 or a charity of one's choice.

May Gary rest in Peace, and Rise in glory.
