Advent is a wonderful season to slow down and reflect, particularly as the world speeds into high gear for the holidays. Here are some opportunities that we hope will invite you to slow down and reflect.
Grow in Faith Gathering for Advent: On December 1 we will explore why and how do we seek comfort in the dissonance of the Christmas season?. Grow in Faith Gatherings are are offered on First Sundays from October-May at 11:45 a.m. in the Meeting Room. These are one-time gatherings which will feature opportunities for learning, sharing, and growing in our faith. Questions? Please speak to Rev. Molly or Rev. Heather. Join the event on facebook.
Wednesday Chapel Services at 9 a.m. During the three Wednesdays in Advent (12/4, 12/11, and 12/18) we will be offering simple services of holy eucharist with reflections from Anne E. Kitch's book, Expectant: Advent Meditations. We hope this will be a time to slow down together in quiet prayer. If you would like to use this resource in your daily devotions during Advent, the book is available for purchase on Amazon. To learn more, please speak to the clergy. Join the event on Facebook.
Sunday Advent Reading Group at 9 a.m. This year, we will meet Sundays at 9 a.m., December 1st through December 22nd. We will be reading Expectant: Advent Meditations. If interested, please add your name to the sign up sheet posted in the hallway. If you want us to order a copy of the book for you, please add this information, too. We will meet in the Whiteman Room each week, except on December 8 when we will meet in the Meeting Room. Looking forward to being with you! Elise & Josie. Join the event on Facebook.
Do you wish you knew more about the Episcopal Church? Are you a new member looking to be baptized, confirmed, or received?
