Today: Welcome Peter Walker and Bruce Griffin Today we welcome Peter Walker on organ and Bruce Griffin on piano, while Parish Musician Joe DiMarino is away on vacation. Ringing for Remembrance & Prayers for Peace: On the last Sunday of each month we grieve the continuing epidemic of gun violence in our country and also pray for peace wherever there is strife, violence, and war in God’s world. We begin the service by sharing the number of persons lost to gun violence since the previous month (using data from Gun Violence Archive), and we will toll the bell for one minute as we remember, grieve, and pray for victims of gun violence. For a more active response to the reality of gun violence and other forms of violence in God’s world, we encourage you to sign up with The Episcopal Public Policy Network to receive ‘action alerts’. 11:30 a.m. - Youth Group Join parish youth from 5th-12th grade for lunch and activities from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the following dates: 9/28, 10/5, 11/2, 11/16, 11/23, 12/14, 12/21. This spiritual experience of place, presence and reflection will be guided by Native neighbors, supported by Episcopal congregations and include the bishops of both dioceses. This is a family-friendly event. A resource is being prepared for young children. Register here (or see newsletter for link). October 28th at 6 p.m. - End of Life Planning Please save the date to join us for an evening of conversation with local professionals that will help in the process of planning to make the end of our days easy. Watch for your giving card in the mail in early October or make your pledge of support online. We ask you to make your promise of support, giving what you have decided in your heart to be right for you and your community of faith. It’s enormously exciting to think about what our giving can make possible this year! - Fall Giving Campaign Team Singing in the Choir: The choir began a new season on Sunday, September 21. Rehearsals take place most Thursdays from 7-8:30 p.m. in the church. Everybody is welcome to join. We currently have 19 members (4 sopranos, 5 altos, 4 tenors, and 6 basses). We have openings in all parts and would especially like to add another soprano or two. To join, simply attend an upcoming rehearsal. For more information please call parish musician Joe DiMarino at (508) 517-2032. Lectionary Calendars 2026 Lectionary Calendars are available outside the office. Each calendar cost the church $5.
