September 27 at 2 p.m. - Celebration of Life for Betsy Carlisle
A Celebration of Life for Betsy Carisle has been scheduled for Sunday, September 27 at 2 pm at St. John’s in Ashfield.

October 5 at 10 a.m. - Blessing of the Animals
Bring your beloved creature, stuffy, or photo of your pet to church and they will receive a special blessing. 

October 12 at 11:30 a.m. - Coffee & Conversation
Join us after worship for coffee and conversation in the cloisters.  Future Dates: 11/2; 12/7. To volunteer or learn more about this ministry contact Allyson Michal  at [email protected].

October 13 - Register for Sacred Journey to Deer Isle
Join us as Episcopalians in the Commonwealth mark the beginning of the 350th anniversary of Metacomet’s Rebellion (King Philip's War) with a sacred journey on Monday, October 13, to Deer Island, MA – the internment site where hundreds of Native people died from exposure and starvation in the winter of 1675 - 1676. This spiritual experience of place, presence and reflection will be guided by Native neighbors, supported by Episcopal congregations and include the bishops of both dioceses. This is a family-friendly event. A resource is being prepared for young children. Register here (or see newsletter for link).

October 28th at 6 p.m. - End of Life Planning

Children’s Chapel Schedule
Children's Chapel is beginning soon... all are welcome! We invite children to gather for singing, stories, and crafts during Sunday services: October 5, October 19, November 2, November 16, December 7, and December 21. If you have questions or interest in volunteering to help with Children's Chapel, please contact Cara Hins at [email protected].

Youth Group Schedule 
Join parish youth from 5th-12th grade for lunch and activities from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the following dates: 9/28, 10/5, 11/2, 11/16, 11/23, 12/14, 12/21. There will also be a special outing to Mike’s Maze on September 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and a Teen Confirmation Class from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. on 9/28, 11/2, 11/16, and three spring dates. Fall Giving Campaign - Begins Soon
Our Fall Giving Campaign will begin on Friday, September 26. Watch for your giving card in the mail in early October or make your pledge of support online.  We ask you to make your promise of support, giving what you have decided in your heart to be right for you and your community of faith. It’s enormously exciting to think about what our giving can make possible this year!

Singing in the Choir:
The choir begins a new season on Sunday, September 21. Rehearsals take place most Thursdays from 7-8:30 p.m. in the church, starting on Thursday, September 11. Everybody is welcome to join. We currently have 19 members (4 sopranos, 5 altos, 4 tenors, and 6 basses). We have openings in all parts and would especially like to add another soprano or two. Lectionary Calendars
2026 Lectionary Calendars are available outside the office. Each calendar cost the church $5. These are available for free, though if you’d like to make a contribution to help cover the cost of these calendars, please write ‘lectionary calendar’ in the memo line of a check, tithe.ly, or cash donation.
