Announcement from Rev. Jimmy

Dear People of Saints James and Andrew,

I want to take a moment to say thank you. Thank you for welcoming me into this vibrant community and for teaching me how to be a Priest over the past two years. You all took a leap of faith when we entered into this Holy Experiment together back in 2023. It has been such holy fun helping our young families build up Children's Chapel, gathering together with small groups for retreats and dinners, and celebrating the saints throughout the year with Wednesday Morning Eucharist.

Now, as the leaves on the trees slowly begin to turn into another dazzling New England fall, it is time to sit and ask for God’s help on the next season of life. When you first called me to be your Missioner for Community and Formation, we signed a two year Letter of Agreement that would last through the end of November 2025. I am excited to share with you all that I now have clarity on what God is calling me to next.

I have received a call to be the next Rector of Grace Church in the Southern Berkshires beginning on December 12th.

Over the course of the next few months, I will continue my regular ministry here in Greenfield and in Athol. My final Wednesday serving the Chapel Community will be November 19th and my final Sunday serving as Missioner will be November 23rd, the Feast of St. Andrew.

The Wednesday Morning Eucharist will continue (after a week off for Thanksgiving) in Advent as Rev. Heather steps in as I step aside to the next adventure.
