FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) About Potential Merger
1. What is a church merger?
The catch-all term “merger” is used when two (or more) churches join together to become one new church. There are a variety of levels of legal complexity that mergers can take, and a variety of motivations that can draw churches into mergers, but the commonality is that merging churches believe they can be more effective in their mission and ministry when joined.
